“A Thirteen Year Old Thief.” Washington Post, 8 November 1878, p. 4.

“A colored girl, about thirteen years old, by the name of Sarah Jane Price, alias Somers, who was recently sent to the work-house, from whence she escaped, was yesterday committed for the action of the grand jury, on the charge of the larceny of money and valuables valued at $45.25, from the house of Mr. J. C. Hess, 508 A street southeast. She is suspected of other larcenies in that section of the city.”

[Street number should be 506, not 508.]
