300 block, north side (DCHistoryQuest)

The following notes are taken from DCHistoryQuest, “an interactive GIS map that provides historical data on approximately 127,000 extant buildings in Washington, D.C.” To save space, I have deleted lines that are left blank. Please keep in mind that if no building permit is cited, the construction date is usually conjectural.

  1. Andy Barnes Says:

I just moved into 322 A. I heard about your blog from a neighbor after asking her about the history of the Mason Davis house. I had looked up the property I’m living in through DC’s property tax database, and it says the building was built in 1880. You have it listed here as 1899. I’m wondering if you have cross referenced the property tax database with what you have posted here. I know your focus is on people not buildings, but thought I’d ask. Thanks for this resource!
